Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Self Isolated With His Rare Pets

As we’ve all been encouraged to stay inside to do our part in social distancing, celebrities are showing us what they’re doing to stay entertained. Ina Garten is cooking her classic comfort foods, Chrissy Teigen is keeping the kids amused, and Arnold Schwarzenegger is enjoying vegan food in the company of his pet donkey.

In a video shared to his Facebook page, Arnold explains that there is now a curfew and because he’s 72, he can’t leave the house due to health concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic. In the video, he says he has been staying home and eating inside, and then he introduces two of his friends who have been keeping him company as he stays inside—his pet pony and his pet donkey.

The pony’s name is Whiskey and the donkey is called Lulu, and Arnold can be seen feeding them carrots throughout the video. “Lulu loves carrots. Whiskey loves carrots. I just had a little bit of vegan food,” he said. “That’s what we do. We don’t go out, we don’t go to restaurants, we don’t do anything like that anymore here.”

In California, where Arnold is currently located, home isolation has been ordered for individuals older than 65 and those with chronic disease or health history that may lead them to have a weakened immune system. “We have a good time eating here together. So much more fun that going outside. No more restaurants, OK?” Arnold said of his time inside with Whiskey and Lulu.

The two animals, which seem to be his house pets as they stand next to him at the kitchen table aren’t wearing leashes of any sort and are very well-behaved, just munch on the carrots they’re being fed. The video ends with Arnold reminding his fans to stay inside while bringing in Whiskey and Lulu for a wholesome embrace.
