We’ve all been there: It’s the day of a big holiday and you forgot one important ingredient: Hot dog buns on the Fourth of July, gravy on Thanksgiving…it’s happened to the best of us. If you find yourself in a similar predicament on Easter this year, please note that Target will be closed on Easter Sunday if you run into any last-minute needs.

Now, don’t be too worried about getting all you need for the holiday because Target is open practically everyday leading up to Easter, including Good Friday and Holy Saturday. And trust us—there are some good Easter candies and treats at Target you’ll want to get your hands on.

On the days leading up to Easter, Target will be running on typical store hours, but be aware that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Target hours have adjusted from the norm. Most locations are now closing at 9 p.m. daily to allot time to deep-clean each store and restock all the shelves. Target also offers order pickup and drive-up, so you can get your groceries without having to spend too much time in the store. Furthermore, Target will be thoroughly cleaning checkout counters between each transaction.

The superstore is also reserving the first hour of shopping on Wednesday mornings for “vulnerable guests,” such as elderly individuals and those with underlying health concerns. To stay informed about how Target is addressing the outbreak, you can read their updates on the site.

Many other grocery stores are also changing their hours and policies, so be sure you know how stores near you are functioning leading up to Easter. That way, you can be sure you can get everything you need for your holiday appetizers and dinner spreads.
