Fried chicken wings are the perfect snack to order in restaurants. How we loved the crispy, spicy and flavourful chicken wings, especially during our shopping breaks or before dinner. Since, we can’t go out to restaurants to eat our favourite chicken dish, we thought of making it at home. To help us out, Delhi’s famous Dhaba restaurant shared their secret recipe of fried chicken wings from the kitty of their chef Ravi Saxena. We were quite amused to find out how simple and easy it was to make.

Once you get raw chicken wings, marinate them with lemon juice, maida, rice flour, salt and a range of spices like chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, black pepper, coriander powder, garlic, garam masala and curry leaves. Keep it for a couple of hours for the flavours to seep in, and deep fry the wings to make the delectable chicken snack, just like you used to get in restaurants.

Fried Chicken recipe:

Ingredients:

6-8 Chicken wings
4-6 Garlic pods
1/2 inch Ginger
10-12 Curry leaves
2 tbsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder
2 tsp Cumin Powder
1 tbsp Coriander Powder
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 tsp Pepper Powder
4 tbsp Lemon Juice
4tbsp All Purpose flour
4 tbsp Rice Flour
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

Method:

1. Grind garlic, ginger, curry leaves in a blender and puree roughly.
2. Take all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
3. Leave to marinate for 1 to 2 hours.
4. Deep fry till golden.
5. Drain and serve.
