This Couple Had A KFC-Themed Wedding

They say that the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach, and ain’t that the truth! So many people have love stories that originate with a restaurant or a food, and oftentimes they want to shout out where it all began on their wedding day. That’s exactly what Kate and Harrison Cann did, but they took it a step further by having a full-fledged Kentucky Fried Chicken wedding.

Back in September, KFC hosted a contest for Australian residents to win a KFC-themed wedding. All the couples had to do was fill out an online form about why they wanted the wedding, and Kate and Harrison won because of their creativity. According to a press release, the couple spoofed The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song with lyrics about their love story and how much they love KFC. Their first date was actually at a KFC so it all makes a lot of sense!

Their creativity gave them an upper hand and they won the wedding, which included personalized KFC chicken buckets, a themed cake, photo booth, live entertainment dressed as Colonel Sanders, and an appearance by the KFC food truck.

To make it all the more exciting, the couple didn’t tell their guests that they were getting married that day, so everyone was surprised no only by the fact that it was their wedding day, but also because the whole event was KFC-themed. If I’m going to be surprised like that, I’d be more than happy to be surprised with finger lickin’ good chicken.

Kate and Harrison Cann said in the press release that the wedding was a perfect way to throw it back to their first date. “We’re over the moon to have been selected for the first ever KFC Wedding and having the Colonel present on our big day took us back to the first meal we shared together – KFC!”

Congrats to the happy couple buttttt now I’m craving KFC so thanks a lot!
