Joanna Gaines Had A “Book Tour” With The Help Of Her Family

Joanna Gaines just released her new cookbook, Magnolia Table, Volume 2, and she was supposed to go on a book tour this week. COVID-19 put a stop to those plans, but Joanna and her family decided to go on “tour” any way.

Joanna shared with fans on Instagram that the Gaines family decided to do a “home edition” of her book tour.

“Since my book tour isn’t happening this week, we still wanted to celebrate the book launch in our own unique, stir crazy kind of way. I felt the love for sure, but I also missed getting to see all of your beautiful faces!” Joanna wrote in the caption.

The video is absolutely adorable. In it, Joanna can be seen perched at a table in the family’s kitchen in Waco, TX. Dozens of books and markers are spread out before her, and her 13-year-old daughter Ella hilariously played her bodyguard, with mirrored shades and all.

Then, the rest of Joanna’s family, including her husband, Chip, and kids Drake, 15, Duke, 11, Emmie, 10, and Crew, 21 months, pretended to be fans waiting to get their cookbooks signed.

Joanna’s kids took turns playing different characters (including an old lady who was hard of hearing and a guy who was there for his grandma). Chip played two different characters—one who was obsessed with Joanna and another who thought Chip was amazing—and both were kicked out by security.

Joanna’s youngest son, Crew, was a total standout—he was pretty excited about the idea of having a cookie and didn’t seem all that interested in getting his book signed. The whole thing ended with a bloopers real that showed just how much fun the entire family had on the “tour.” So CUTE.
