Aldi’s Lobster Roll Dip Is Already A Big Hit
Lobster rolls are an iconic summer food for a reason. You’ve got your chunks of lobster, gooey mayo, and a little lemon juice packed into a grilled bun. They’re PERFECT. But unfortunately, lobster rolls don’t come cheap. Now, Aldi’s got a solution, and it’s pretty genius.
The grocery store just rolled out Lobster Roll Dip, according to Instagram account @AldisBuys. “Hoping this one is better then the crab Rangoon one!” they wrote, alongside several pics of the dip. Here’s the coolest part: The dip is just $3.29 for a 12-ounce tub.
Apparently it is better than the Crab Rangoon Dip (which, to be fair, a lot of people like!), because at least one commenter gave it the thumbs up. “I liked this one, it was very mayo-y in my opinion. I dipped tortilla chips in it,” one person wrote. Several people wanted to know what to eat the new dip with, and got plenty of suggestions for bread and crackers as well.
It seems like Aldi is going all in with the new dip, because it’s currently listed as an Aldi Finds. (If you’re not familiar with the chain, making the Aldi Finds list is a BFD. Aldi says they order these foods “months in advance,” and that they’re only on sale for a limited time.)
Worth noting: At $3.29, you can buy about four of these for the price of a lobster roll. Or, if you want to really splash out, you can spread a lil’ lobster roll dip on top of a lobster roll. Just a thought.
