Matcha Coconut Milk Drink, Salted Honey Nitro Cold Brew

In case you didn’t listen to the groundhog a few weeks back, let me be the first to inform you that spring is on its way. Sure, it might still feel a bit chilly outside, but I promise, you’ll feel sun on your skin soon enough. Don’t believe me? One look at Starbucks’ new spring drinks will have you breaking out the sundresses right now.

Starbucks announced several new drinks and food items for spring 2020, and there’s a little something for everyone. We’ll start with everyone’s favorite: the drinks! First up, we have two new coconut milk beverages.

The Iced Pineapple Matcha Drink is bright green and beautiful. It includes matcha green tea shaken with flavors of pineapple and ginger, as well as coconut milk and ice. Next up, The Iced Golden Ginger Drink is a stunning dandelion color and features ginger, pineapple, and turmeric flavors, shaken with coconut milk and ice. A grande of either will run you between $4.95 and $5.75.

I am a self-proclaimed coconut milk hater (coconut is one of like three foods I despise), but when we had the chance to try these ahead of their release, I couldn’t get enough of either one—particularly the pineapple. Give it a try, no matter your milk preferences.

Next up, for those of us who could always use a bit more caffeine, is the Nitro Cold Brew with Salted Honey Cold Foam. It’s made with powerful Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew topped with salted honey cold foam and a “strike” of toasted honey. It’s perfect for black coffee drinkers who want a bit of a sweet reprieve without feeling like you’re drinking a milkshake. A grande is between $4.95 and $5.45, depending on your market.

As far as food, Starbucks will also be rolling out egg wraps this season, like the Bacon, Sausage & Egg Wrap, which includes bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and sous vide potatoes. It’s all tucked into a flour tortilla.

For the vegetarians, there’s The Southwest Veggie Wrap, made up of scrambled eggs, black beans, sous vide potatoes, cotija cheese, pico de gallo, and jalapeño cream cheese all inside of a salsa tortilla. Both are totally home runs in the breakfast department so you really can’t go wrong.

All of these menu items are available today at your local Starbucks location. Guess your morning breakfast run just got a LOT more exciting. Spring has sprung!
