It’s finally feeling like spring out there, which means it’s officially iced coffee weather…for those of us who haven’t been suffering through cold hands and drinking it anyway for months. While we’re enjoying Starbucks’ coconut milk drinks that we’ve been blessed with in the U.S., we also have our eyes on a delicious-looking new Frapp being served in Malaysia.
Starbucks Malaysia has been whipping up a Lemon Meringue Frappuccino over the past few weeks, and it’s the sunshine of our lives already. We spotted it thanks to Instagrammer @junkfoodonthego, who posted a photo of the drink and its description. It’s often referred to as a latte, though it’s not exactly clear what’s in the actual drink. Regardless, it’s topped with a lemon drizzle and whipped cream, and it’s finished with a meringue topping.
It sounds like the perfect drink if you love all things tart and fresh around this time of year, and we weren’t the only ones drooling with jealousy over it in the comments.
“I just got excited for no reason,” one person wrote. “I love lemon!”
“Omg this is so amazing,” another said.
One commenter thankfully even came in clutch with their own recipe for making it in the U.S.
“I used to work at Starbucks and made up my own lemon meringue Frappuccino,” they wrote. “It’s basically a white mocha creme frap with lemonade. It’s made like a strawberries and creme with lemonade instead of strawberry pure and white mocha sauce added. Pretty tasty!”
It’s safe to say we’re all taking notes right now. YUM!
