This St. Patty’s Starbucks Hacks Make Green Drinks

Another day, another Starbucks secret menu hack that you’ll want to know about. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, if you want a festive green drink, these are the two drinks you’ll want to keep on your radar. Take notes! (And, as a reminder, due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, all Starbucks stores are temporarily moving to a “to-go only” model.)

The Starbucks secret menu, as you probably know by now, are just ways to personalize and customize your drinks to achieve a certain look or taste. Oftentimes they’re named after characters or candy bars, and for St. Patrick’s Day you can try out the “Lucky Leprechaun Frappuccino” and the “Shamrock Cappuccino.”

Unsurprisingly, both of these drinks start with a matcha green tea base to get the bright green color synonymous with the holiday. For the Lucky Leprechaun, you’ll want to ask the barista to start with a layer of whipped cream on the bottom of your cup. Then, on top of that layer of whipped cream, order a Matcha Green Tea Creme Frappuccino with peppermint syrup on top. The drink will be finished off with layers of whipped cream and crumbled caramel crunch, which will give the appearance of sprinkles leprechaun gold at the top of your drink.

For the Shamrock Cappuccino, order a Matcha Green Tea Creme Frappuccino blended with java chips and an added pump of peppermint. You’ll want to then top it off with whipped cream and finish it off with cookie crumbles and matcha powder. Apparently, this one tastes just like a Thin Mint Girl Scout cookie.

If you want to try out either of these drinks tomorrow for St. Patrick’s Day, make sure you have these recipes written down so you can order them and get the desired outcome. Like we’ve said, the Starbucks secret menu is so secret sometimes the baristas don’t know the drinks by name, so it’s important you order it step by step!
