You Can Watch Videos Of Disney Rides Online Right Now

Many people have special remedies for when they cannot sleep. For some maybe it’s warm milk (is that actually a thing?), for others, maybe it’s meditation, but for me, oftentimes it’s watching videos of Disney rides. I’ve only had the chance to go to Disney a few times in my life, but I love it, so watching video ride-throughs of some iconic attractions is a way for me to feel super zen. It’s my happy place, if you will.

Jezebel writer Rich Juzwiak apparently shares my passion because he helpfully pointed out that these videos are actually super useful right now, as Disney World and Disneyland are closed through the end of the month due to the global coronavirus outbreak. Not only that, as many schools are closed, these video ride-throughs can be a great way to keep kids entertained.

You can find a video of pretty much any ride you want. While watching roller coasters is fun and all, as Rich pointed out, the dark rides will likely give you the best immersive experience, especially if you’re looking for a super-serene video.

Some of my favorites include videos of the now dearly departed Great Movie Ride, Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, and Peter Pan’s Flight. For those who didn’t get a chance to ride the new Mickey and Minnie ride in the few weeks it was open, it’s already on there too.

This is also a great excuse to watch videos from other parks around the world too, including Hong Kong Disneyland’s Mystic Manor (SO. COOL.) and Disneyland Paris’s Ratatouille ride (which can give you a sense of what Disney World’s new ride will look like!).

Seriously, search “Disney ride-through” on YouTube and just go to town. Oh, and if you were wondering, you can find videos of rides and attractions from all sorts of other theme parks too. Sometimes when I’m particularly homesick, I even watch ride-throughs from my hometown amusement park Kennywood. You name it, it’s probably on YouTube.
