Hostess Just Released Caramel Ding Dongs And They’re The Cake Treat Of Our Dreams

Hostess makes a lot — and we mean a lot — of delicious snacks. It seems like every other day the company is pumping out new treats that deserve a spot in our lunch boxes, which, for the record, we are more than happy about. Among its classic snacks are Ding Dongs, and brand-new flavor has just been added to the line-up. Let’s just say that we hope you like caramel.

The original Ding Dongs consist of chocolate cake that’s filled with vanilla crème and dipped in chocolate. They come individually wrapped, which has saved us from devouring an entire box on more than one occasion. The new Caramel Ding Dongs, which was posted by Instagram account @candyhunting via @chopsticksandfork, are made up of cake with caramel creme filling and are covered in fudge.

The packaging doesn’t indicate what flavor cake is used in these just-released Ding Dongs, but it doesn’t appear to be chocolate or vanilla. Maybe it’s also caramel-flavored? Looks like we’re in for a tasty surprise.

There isn’t much information out there about Hostess’ latest creation (got to love those super new products), but we know that they have been spotted at Dollar General. There’s no word on whether or not they are an exclusive, like the new Pringles Chicken & Waffles chips and M&M’s Orange Vanilla Creme candies, but we’ll update you once we know more.

This new Ding Dongs flavor joins a pretty impressive line-up. The treat already comes in Mint, Peanut Butter, White Fudge, and Wintermint flavors, as well as Valentine and Star Spangled varieties, so the Caramel is certainly in good company.
