Walmart And Sam’s Club Are Teaming Up With Feeding America
There are many ways to donate to charities and non-profit organizations for their COVID-19 relief efforts and now big name companies are joining the efforts. In fact, Walmart and Sam’s Club are teaming up with Feeding America through May 11 to donate.
Walmart kickstarted the partnership with a $3 million donation to Feeding America and its member food banks, and you can get involved too. You can donate directly on Walmart’s website (which explains the campaign) or you can simply purchase grocery items from the participating suppliers.
For each item purchased from a Walmart or Sam’s Club, the monetary equivalent of one meal will be donated to the org. Items will have packaging that goes into the specifics, but some of the foods involved are from Bush Brothers & Company, Campbell Soup Company, Clif Bar & Company, Conagra Brands, General Mills, Great Value, J.M. Smucker, Kellogg’s, Kraft Heinz, Monster Energy, Mott’s, The Coca-Cola Company, The Clorox Company and more. You can look into the full list of brands here.
More than ever, the work done at Feeding America is integral to provide for individuals and families in need. Faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, students who depend on school lunches to get their meals and individuals struggling with unemployment are turning to food banks. Walmart and Sam’s Club stores will be paired up with at least one local Feeding America food bank during this campaign.
