Lucky Charms Hot Chocolate Is Coming To Shelves And We Can’t Wait To Get Cozy With It
Update, April 17, 2020, 1:44 p.m.: Lucky Charms Hot Chocolate has officially been listed on Walmart’s website and we are beyond thrilled. However, this nostalgia-packed beverage isn’t sitting on store shelves just yet.
Swiss Miss confirmed the authenticity of this product to PEOPLE in late February, including the $2.99 list price for a box with six packets each of non-fat cocoa mix and Lucky Charms marshmallows.
The nationwide release date was originally slated for summer, but Instagrammer @CandyHunting hopes the early siting “means it will be out before the expected June launch.” So keep your eyes peeled, cereal fans!!
Original post, Feb. 21, 2020 11:07 a.m.: If you’re still putting regular old mini-marshmallows in your hot chocolate, I’m going to need you to get with the program. I say this with love, but it’s 2020! We don’t need to settle for boring hot cocoa anymore. You’re in luck though because Swiss Miss is apparently going to be making it so much easier on all of us by releasing Lucky Charms Hot Chocolate.
This new hot chocolate was announced by Instagrammer @Candyhunting and it looks like a sugary dream come true. While we don’t know too much about it, from the looks of it, the drink will be your classic powdered hot cocoa but instead of those little sad marshmallows, the packs will contain Lucky Charms cereal marshmallows. A whole new WORLD!
If this sounds familiar to you, it may be because our queen Chrissy Teigen shared her recipe for hot chocolate recently, and it involves getting a bag of cereal marshmallows and sprinkling them on top. This new product is a great workaround if you don’t want to buy a big bag of Lucky Charms marshmallows (weird, why not?) or pick through your trusty box of cereal.
Of course, this hasn’t been announced by Swiss Miss yet, so we don’t know when or if it’s coming, but we reached out to Conagra Brands to see if we could get the scoop. Let’s hope they hit shelves soon because global warming is REAL and spring is a-COMING and our hot cocoa drinking-weather is quickly coming to a close…
